I’m excited to announce the publication of my first book in July 2021, Places and People of the Pikes Peak Region: Exploring 14 Signature Sites.
My book contains a collection of 14 separate yet interconnected essays. Each essay explores a natural or manmade landmark in the Pikes Peak region, the person(s) for whom the chosen site is named, and the relevant historical context. From Ute Pass and Pikes Peak to Palmer Park and the Fannie Mae Duncan sculpture, the text covers significant local history beginning with the Utes and culminating with the sesquicentennial of Colorado Springs in 2021.
Every chapter includes historic as well as present-day photographs, and the book’s narrative is complemented by a bibliography, chronology, and index.
